Auckland, NZ is a vibrant city with a rich cultural history and many beautiful hot spots to flock to. In a country of 4.5 million inhabitants, 1/3 live in the exciting and most vibrant metropolis: Auckland, which you can check out on  Auckland Tours. Locals who live life here are a true melting pot of immigrants and the first settlers; The Maori. The original Maori name for Auckland was Tamaki Makaurau.

Recently ATEED successfully bid for Auckland to stage the ninth World Masters Games in 2017. It is the largest multi-sport event in the world, attracting more athletes than even the summer Olympic Games. ATEED set up a subsidiary company to plan and deliver the games in 2017 and Auckland is planning to host more than 25,000 athletes competing in 30 different sports.

This event is just icing on the cake for a city like Auckland which houses adrenaline inducing attractions like the Sky Tower. Around the Sky Tower you can grab a bite to eat at an upscale eatery, stay in luxurious accommodations, visit the casino…but what if you want to take a 192 meter leap? Well then you can head to the top of Auckland’s Sky Tower and do just that by base-jumping with wire off the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand. Or if you’re not quite ready to take that leap; take in the spectacular views of Auckland while walking around the 1.2 meter wide platform 192 meters up. A full body harness and overhead safety lines keep you safe as you walk the edge of Sky Tower’s pergola.
